Terms & Conditions
The conditions under which psychotherapy services are provided by Per Arne Skjæveland.
1. Professional Services
Psychotherapy services are provided by Per Arne Skjæveland, a qualified psychotherapist practicing in Oslo.
Services may include:
- Individual psychotherapy
- Online psychotherapy
- Consultation sessions
- Psychological guidance
2. Appointments
Appointments are confirmed once payment has been received unless otherwise agreed.
Please arrive on time.
Late arrival may reduce the available session time.
3. Cancellation Policy
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled session without charge.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment may be charged the full session fee.
Failure to attend an appointment without notice ("no-show") is generally non-refundable.
4. Refund Policy
Refund requests must be submitted within 72 hours of the payment or service date.
Refunds are considered individually and may be granted when:
- Payment was made in error.
- Duplicate payments occurred.
- Technical issues prevented the consultation from taking place.
- The therapist was unable to provide the scheduled service.
Refunds are generally not available after a therapy session has been completed unless required by applicable law or exceptional circumstances apply.
If a refund is approved, it will be processed using the original payment method.
5. Disputes
If you are dissatisfied with our services, we encourage you to contact us within 72 hours of the consultation so that we can attempt to resolve the matter promptly.
Any billing disputes should likewise be submitted within 72 hours of payment.
We will review all concerns fairly and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
6. Confidentiality
All psychotherapy sessions are confidential except where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the safety of the client or others.
7. Online Sessions
Clients are responsible for:
- Having a stable internet connection.
- Using a private location.
- Ensuring their device is secure.
We cannot guarantee uninterrupted internet connectivity outside our control.
8. Limitation of Liability
While psychotherapy aims to improve emotional well-being, no specific outcomes or results can be guaranteed.
Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of United States.
Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
